For many years we have had the theoretical thought that is should be possible to store arbitrary objects in a relation database without any schema mappings. With the object relational mapping Orpheus Component Studio comes with a technology where the same database can be used for all object schemata. Orpheus requires to have a schema definition in Smalltalk, though.
Smalltalkers do not love to think about schema or of static typing at all. Thus the final desire of a Smalltalker goes beyond Orpheus. In Greek mythology Eurydike was the ultimate love of Orpheus. Thus we named the schema less system to store arbitrary objects in a relational database after her.
