At the bottom of this page are some helpful videos to get you going with Cincom Smalltalk. Before you begin, here are some things to be aware of:
  • Due to the new privacy laws associated with GDPR, we are unable to send any emails, including the download email for the PUL of Cincom® ObjectStudio® or Cincom® VisualWorks®, without your consent. Whether you remember doing this or not, if you have previously unsubscribed from receiving emails from Cincom Smalltalk and have tried to request a copy of the PUL, our system will not deliver the email to you.  So, if you need to opt-in or re-subscribe so you can receive the Personal Use License (PUL) download email, there are two steps you’ll need to do to resolve this.  Click here to see this quick process.
  • Depending on your email client, sometimes these emails are sent to the Spam folder.  Be sure to check there if you do not receive it in your inbox shortly.
  • The ISO format is a disc-image format that needs to be mounted.  After it is mounted, it is then seen as a drive on your system, and it’s just like doing the installation from a CD or DVD.  If you’re using Windows, we recommend using “Virtual CloneDrive” (https://www.elby.ch/en/products/vcd.html)  to mount the ISO file. Most other platforms already support the ISO file format, so all you need to do is mount it as appropriate for your system.
