WebVelocity Pre-Alpha Demo
February 28, 2008, 8:15:06 pm

Recently I gave a talk to my colleagues in Sydney and to the Sydney Smalltalk Users Group on WebVelocity. It demonstrated the pre-alpha state of WebVelocity, a teaser of what is to come. I've now transformed that talk in to an informal video. In fact, it's so informal, it's me talking to you as I run through making a simple blog server - and in the process I even hit a bug.

I don't like to sugar coat our progress, I like it to be real and showing the bugs is part of the realism. Our goal, naturally, is not to have any major bugs when we release :) -- but this is pre-alpha. So take a look, enjoy. Post your feedback.

This looks fabulous! Thats the way I want to create Webapplications, especially the Database stuff.

One question though: The nice typing history to the lower right, is that a OSX feature or a firefox plugin? Or - a seaside feature?

The text down the bottom right is KeyCastr which is a tool I use to help me make my screencasts. It's not part of Seaside, WebVelocity or Firefox.
