Spotted in Sci Fi Wire

Scott Bakula, star of the UPN series Star Trek: Enterprise, told SCI FI Wire that he is looking forward to returning to self-contained stories after last year's season-long Xindi war story arc.

So basically they're admitting they suck at writing a story and instead are going back to writing bit-pieces where the ending is as lame as Oh, I was only dreaming... or was I.

After Voyager.. Enterprise doesn't surprise me in the slightest. These sorts of piece-meal snippits of half-thought were okay back in the original series when it was new and presented with ballsy gusty by Kirk - but touchy feely pseudo morality just doesn't cut it for me. Lame, move along - nothing to see here.

You beat me to it. I was glad they wrapped up the temporal "bored" war, but I fear it may be too late. DS9 just finished a full run on Spike TV, and it's astounding how good that was compared with how badly they mucked up Enterprise. I like the premise and cast, but they need to stop competing with B5 or other such things. Star Trek isn't a "big arc" format, and the conflict needs to be more of a real "cold war" scenario.
