|Self inflicted suffering|

I've started myself on a chocolate diet. Hah hah, only chocolate. No, seriously.. things haven't been going so well. It's more of a sugar diet than a chocolate diet, where chocolate appears to be my main contributor.
Day one didn't go so well. I ate some biscuits around breakfast/morning tea time. Not chocolate ones, but still sugary none the less.
Day two went even worse. It was a morning tea day and it was somebodies birthday. The most natural thing in the world is to eat some birthday cake - uh, but it was chocolate mud cake. Woops. I only realised after I'd eaten it all.
Day three, another biscuit craving. This time I raided the kitchen at work and ate all the chocolate biscuits - all of them. Well, not the Tim Tams. I didn't touch them. But by god, I almost did on Day one. I rarely eat Tim Tams any more and there I was, going for one on day one!
Day four. I've made it! Almost, it's 7:20pm and I've not had a drop of sugar or chocolate all day. Oh, except the coke I had with lunch. I'm allowing myself one coke a day.
As you can see my biggest problem has to do with the availability of this bad stuff. This is a cultural thing and it's no wonder all our kids are getting obese. I'm not fat by a long shot, I just have a bit more of a gut than I'd like to have. I should be lither than I am.
My diet isn't -too- bad. It could do with more vege's and may be some fruit. So I think the worst thing going in to me has to be the sugar. We'll see what happens!
