Unpragmatic Programmers?
Im not a huge fan of the Pragmatic Programmers. Often their stuff sounds like it is a rehash of Agile. (btw, Are they trying to imply that everyone else is not pragmatic?)
One thing I really respect about them for though is their loyalty to their favorite language: Ruby. Their Agile counter parts mostly come from a Smalltalk background, and will if pushed cite Smalltalk as a major, if not defining, influence. However most Agilistas put distance between themselves and Smalltalk. Not so the Pragmatic Programmers. They have stuck to their guns, and actively promote Ruby. As a result Ruby is fast becoming a mainstream language.
