I needed a break after this week, so it was off to the links for 18. It was beautiful today, around 70 and sunny. Great day for golf - too bad my game was off :)

It was hardly winter - the temperature got up to (or close to) 70, and there was very little wind on the course. We didn't get on the course until almost 3; there was some screwup with the tee time. My daughter played with us, and took a few shots with my camera phone:

That's an old farm silo - the course was beautiful, and on the former site of farmland. The old buildings are just scenery now. We played right up to dark:

It was a great day out on the course - and I shot a 46. Not bad for January :)

I managed to get in 18 today with my buddy Brian before the rains came. It was an enjoyable round, even if we did stink up the course. The good news is this: I'm finally showing enough patience with my driver to hit it semi-reliably. If I could manage to get out regularly...

I'm off to play golf this morning - a friend in northern VA is just getting started with the game. Fortunately, it's no longer furnace levels of heat here :)

I'm continuing to teach my daughter how to play the game - of course, that would go better if I didn't muff so many shots myself :) I decided to get her some lessons though - in August, she'll be attending a 3 day camp. With any luck, she'll return from that and start giving me tips.
