VisualWorks Database support is provided in several packages. This package (Database) provides the External database interface framework (EXDI) that other packages (OracleEXDI, CTLibEXDI, etc) need to interact with relational databases.

Further information on the EXDI framework can be found in the 'Database Application Developer's Guide' (located in the /doc subdirectory of the VisualWorks installation).
