When you get Smalltalk from Cincom, you get all the software components associated with ObjectStudio® and VisualWorks® in one single offering. How you use that software is defined by a license agreement. The first aspect you need to decide is whether you intend to use Cincom Smalltalk in a Commercial Environment. A Commercial Environment is one where the business or individuals are involved in commercial activities and the software is used in some way to support those activities.  Your other options are using Cincom Smalltalk in a Research and Learning Environment or in a Non-Commercial endeavor.
