Professors, Colleges and Universities
Smalltalk is recognized by the education community as a superior language for teaching students about high-quality systems and object development. The Academic Institution License is a free of charge license and offers support for three (3) named Users. It may only be used by individual academics who are faculty members of an Academic Institution or Educational Institutions and Research Centers. To obtain it, an academic institution or individual should request the evaluation version from our website here, sign the academic license contained in the product and return it to Cincom. This will allow them to be registered as an academic institution customer and to receive support. This does not include running production systems for the academic institution concerned, which would require a commercial subscription license.
