The SiouX-Server is a new framework for developing Web servers. The main motivation was to build an HTTP server with Xtreams with the goal of squeezing as much scalability and performance out of it as we can.
In ObjectStudio 8.5 and VisualWorks 7.10, Cincom has added full Unicode support to their DB2 connects. This means that from those versions, users will be able to use Unicode table and column names, include Unicode strings in their SQL statements, bind Unicode strings to host variables and even input and output Unicode strings to and from stored procedures.
VisualWorks includes extensive documentation, delivered in the form of over 20 PDF guides (approximately 3600 pages) and an integrated Help system comprised of several hundred topics.
