Also, after April 8, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or any of the various support-related options and updates for XP.I recently had the unpleasant experience of trying to recover my Smalltalk code stored in PostgreSQL from the raw files with no backup. I am sharing my steps and eventual success in case others find themselves in the same predicament. Or better yet, use this report as motivation to learn how to do a backup proper for whatever database you use!
