Smalltalk Software Engineer, Travis Griggs, recently asked himself, “What would something like jQuery look like in Smalltalk?”  With that being asked, Travis developed an experience report and overview of the answer to that question.  And, though he’s unsure about the conduciveness of his answers, Travis gives us a thorough report and plenty to consider.

Travis’ blog posting discusses his motivation for the project; three interesting aspects of jQuery; how to build a query model in Smalltalk; an explanation regarding Type Queries, Id Queries, Class or Tag Queries and Attribute Queries; binary selectors; adding common actions and much, much more.
