BC4J comments on the efficacy of visual cues - pointing out that the 3.5" disk icon is meaningless to his child :) Perhaps it is time to update some of the older icon standards :)

I don't think my kids have ever seen the dot matrix printer thats on the print icons either. But then again the sundial on history in IE isn't meaningful to anyone, unless... hmmm... maybe they're implying that sundials belong in a museum and museums hold historical artifacts. Hmmmm.... Nah.
