Galactica to go out on top?
Sounds like the folks behind "Galactica" are planning to have an actual ending to the series:
"Like many other serial dramas, such as 'Lost' or 'The Shield,' these series have a beginning, a middle and an end," says an insider at Universal, the studio that produces "Galactica."
Hmm - so that will fuel speculation - do they end it at the point where they find Earth? Do they end it with the Cylons wiping humanity out? There are any number of interesting endings, if they are willing to go out with a bang.

They will find earth, but it will not end with the Cylons wiping out humanity. The two episodes involving the Eye of Jupiter showed us that the Cylons and the surviving humans are somehow connected, perhaps through 13th tribe. That said, I do like the idea of a great show ending. I'm looking forward to what might be the final season in 2008.

They'll find earth. From there I haven't a clue. The Galactica is a bit of a tragic hero in the show... it would be interesting to see if that particular ship and crew make it to Earth or if they sacrifice themselves to allow the fleet to make it.

I hate to break the news to you - but they'll find Earth and discover that it's where they came from. Humans went from Earth to Kobol to the twelve colonies. It happened when humanity discovered AI and war occurred.
When both Cylon and Colonial humanity reach Earth, they will both be shattered and finally settle their differences to start a new life. They will realise that their proficies and religion lied to them about Earth to force them to come together.
