Thorsten Seitz wins Dynamic Language Shootout at OOP
Here's a cool thing - Thorsten Seitz won the dynamic language shootout here (page is in German) at OOP 2008 with a Seaside based (built in Cincom Smalltalk) application - a Scrabble implementation. When I have time later in the week, or next week, I'll try to post the actual application on our site. In the meantime, here are some pictures I took:

I shot video of the entire session (it's in German) - I'll have a flash version up later on. In the meantime, here's a short chat I had with Thorsten after his talk:

Will this site host a version of the online game? Also, it might be interesting to see a RoR parallel implementation for comparison purposes.
A "Scrabble" application?

From what I understand, the magazine that sponsored the contest will have the source for the various entrants posted. I'll push out a link as soon as I get it
Other contestants?

Does anyboy know who were the other contestants? The conference web page talks of 10 submissions given a prize but only published the first 3 it seems.
