RIP Bobby Murcer
Well, this is sad news - Bobby Murcer died of brain cancer today. I started watching the Yankees back in the late 60's and early 70's, and that's who I remember being in centerfield. He wasn't Mantle, but he was pretty good - and later on, he was fun to listen to on the air. Kind of makes me feel old, seeing one of first ballplayers I was really aware of pass away.
