It's All Public
One thing people are really, really going to have to internalize is this simple fact: no matter how much privacy you think you have on a social networking site (like Facebook), your activities there are ultimately public. If you wouldn't say it or do it in public, you probably shouldn't say it or do it on a social networking site, either.

On the other hand, social sites also remove the illusion that anyone is perfect and superhuman. If employees are not allowed to be human, and have the same lives they always had (just not under scrutiny before), employers may find themselves running out of candidates (or at least qualified ones).
