Goodnight BitTorrent
Rogers Cadenhead does some digging, and finds out that the Grokster (correction from my first post, where I somehow said Kelo. Clearly, not enough sleep this week. Thanks to the comenter who noticed) case will enable BitTorrent to be smacked down - here's what the author said about it back in 2001 on his website:
I further my goals with technology. I build systems to disseminate information, commit digital piracy, synthesize drugs, maintain untrusted contacts, purchase anonymously, and secure machines and homes. I release my code and writings freely, and publish all of my ideas early to make them unpatentable.
Goodnight Irene. Time to find a new tool, and to explain that Loose Lips sink technology tools under the new legal regime - at least in the US.

Uh, Kelo has nothing to do with this. Kelo is about private property rights.
