What do you think?
I'm interested in some feedback from people - specifically, people who have dealt with Cincom (whether it was the Smalltalk group or not). I'd like you to tell me two things:
- What have you liked most about your interactions with Cincom?
- What have you liked least about your interactions with Cincom?
Those are wide open questions - the answers could be on any aspect of Cincom you've dealt with. Feel free to post comments here, or send me email. I won't post email comments unless you specifically ask me to.

If I were a typical customer, I would like a web interface like the old 'Self Help'. It is nice to be able to see if the problem you just encountered is a known bug and if there is any fix for it. This is more important for those of us that are not using the most recent version.

I think we are a typical customer and I would echo Terry's comment. I would like to be able to see and search all the issues reported against a given version of VW and be able, determine which ones have been confirmed to be real issues, and see the set of issues for which fixes have been made available.

What I like most (as a non-commercial customer) is having access to current VW releases and the Public store, and the ability to interact with W engineers (at least on a limited basis). You've got really good people and it has been a pleasure getting to know many of them.
What I like least a general lack of respect for documentation geared to varying groups of VW users. (See the SmalltalkDoc use cases in my blog.) The attitude I occasionally see is one of "Just read the ####ing code." I strongly believe this is self defeating.
On a personal note, Jim, I think you are doing a terrific job showing people how productive VW is to work with -- with BottomFeeder and Silt, and also with your blog, podcasts and Smalltalk Dailys.
