Chasing the tail
I think this headline at ComputerWorld says it all:
India Aims to Tame Soaring IT Wages
Apparently, companies are starting to look elsewhere for cost savings. Give those spots 6-24 months, then: rinse, repeat.
As always, the best answer is to hire the best employees you can.

Its Amusing

Back when I was working in the States, there was an anti-H1B sentiment when I had predicted first outsourcing to be a major topic of contention, which would bring wages up in India to the point where the salaries were absurd. While Indian IT companies are not really known for anything innovative yet, a lot of companies from abroad have moved their R&D work to India and that is a growing sector. After a while it would probably be Indian companies outsourcing work to other countries, maybe even back to the US if this keeps going on. Of course there is no substitute for hiring the best people but bean counters do not know that. Amusing no doubt.
