Yes, picking inauguration day was probably not the brightest idea on our part. When I suggested the 20th instead of the 13th (I was out of town on the 13th), I hadn't thought of this :) In any case, it looks like taking the DC Metro to the Gallery Place/Chinatown stop is the best way to go - and according to the metro's planner, it's open today and tonight. Once you get there, walk north past the MCI Center to the Starbuck's at 800 7th street, and you'll be there. The meetup starts at 7 PM - with all the inauguration hoopla, it's probably a good idea to give yourself plenty of time.
