Pollock Grid Suggestions

There certainly are some features that should be mentioned before I come with the one below....

This is a more enhanced wish for the dataset after several others: Do you know the grid used in Outlook 2003? It includes column sorting, reordering, etc, the basics :). But it also has the capability to group things by columns. There is a drop area on the top where you can place columns and arrange grouping levels, e.g. priority, then date. The dataset then includes "header lines" with the group labels that can be expanded and collapsed (usual + before the label). THAT would be great. Yes, it is always hunting for the capabilities of the native (Windows) widget sets... [Thomas]

From a post into c.l.s the Pollock grid should at least exhibit functionality referred to in the following blurb:

"We enhanced the use of the dataset and its integration to handle multi aspect sorting, dynamic removing/restore of columns, switching between multi sort to single sort modes, sort caching, sort priority changing directly of a column header label area menu etc, building the columns on the fly and remembering column layout including sort criteria across user sessions. Did find one minor issue with the sensing of the label area which was easily corrected."

It seems that adding multicolumn sort is a rather common addition. I began with the Aragon dataset because it has a nicer look and a more reasonably sized row. The changes I made are: multicolumn sort, save/restore columns, selectively adding columns using a UserMessage label key(yuk), cell enable/disable, multi-cell select, virtual cells(more than one cell per grid cell), and a column width block(you feed it column widths and widget width and it returns new column widths.
