CincomSmalltalkWiki: GFST

GF/ST is a graphics package, originally by Polymorphic but now owned by Cincom and included as a 'parc' goodie in VW. Steven Kelly and Risto Pohjonen at MetaCase have made a number of bug fixes and improvements to the version in VW7; the fixes have been incorporated into VW7.1, thanks to Kevin Greek at Cincom.

The changes with version numbers have been published in the GF/ST Base package (not bundle) in the open Store repository. They are also available in the parcel released with 7.1.

To help in knowing what to suggest for integration into the distribution and how, it would be good to know of other GF/ST users and their apps, past, present and future. Please sign up below with your name, app, and info on its VW version, status (design/creation/ongoing development/maintenance/dead) and an idea of how much you 'interfere' with base GF/ST classes (overrides, extensions, subclasses other than those suggested by the manuals). I noticed a GF/ST fix in the list of changes in one of the latest dev releases of 7.2. Is there any chance it is going to get published into the open rep? Or did the change originally come from there?

Also, I noticed that Object>>asString causes the wrong thing to be displayed as the label on the popup when a #DNU exception occurs. (Unhandled exception: BlockClosure in Object>>doesNotUnderstand:). This may be related to having gemstone loaded, but I think I tracked it down to how a UserMessage was being used somewhere. (sorry, i forget).
