The code in the link above is a configuration map for ENVY 3.01; this posting is mainly for 'official' open sourcing of the code.
Carsten Haerle April 16, 2003: The above link doesn't work so the information I put there seems to be lost. Below some information of the status as far as I know:
At CampSmalltalk 3 (August of 2001) we tried to get Frost into Store to eliminate the need for ENVY 5i. The statust was:
We have Frost at least imported into 5i. The problem is that the version I saved into store was not loadable again due to some namespace configuration problems. I have an image with Frost 5i loaded, but what remains todo is to file out the code in parcels (if packages in store do not work), so that it an be loaded into another image.
Many things of the code aren't working but some things to. We mainly focussed on getting it over to 5i for people to starting working on this version, so we didn't do to much work on frost itsself.
Unfortunalely I havn't got the time currently todo this, but I could send you the image if you want to do further work, which I would really appreciate.
To get the code:
Get a 5i4NC installation and download www.straightec.de/pub/frost-cs3.zip.
Unzip the files into the installation directory and start the image.
